FARRAGUT, TN – The Farragut Board of Mayor and Aldermen made its annual donation to Farragut Public Schools during its Sept. 27 meeting. Farragut Primary, Intermediate, Middle and High Schools each received $27,000, and the Farragut High School Foundation received an additional $12,000.
The donation is small compared to the overall needs of schools, said Farragut Vice Mayor Louise Povlin, but providing funds to help schools finish special projects brings the town a lot of pride.
“We know that we’ve created this great town, but part of our great town is that we have great schools.”
Incorporated in 1980, the Town of Farragut has top schools, safe neighborhoods and high development standards, making it one of the best places to live in the Southeast.
