TDOT begins repaving of Kingston Pike from Pellissippi Parkway to Watt Road

The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) began a project to repave Kingston Pike (State Route 1) from Pellissippi Parkway to Watt Road this week. The contractor is required to finish the project by Sept. 30.

The work will take place from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Motorists are advised to use caution around construction workers and be aware of milled surfaces and uneven lanes.

Installation of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant sidewalk curb ramps are underway in conjunction with road improvements. A total of 79 ramps will be installed or corrected.
