The Town keeps residents well informed about meetings, programs, events and services through several outlets. Meeting agendas and specific information about Town programs and events are posted online, published in the Farragut Shopper-News (Wednesdays) and farragutpress (Thursdays), and can be viewed on Town of Farragut TV (Charter channel 193 & TDS channel 3). Also available on Town of Farragut TV are live broadcasts of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen and the Municipal Planning Commission meetings. Meeting videos are rebroadcast on Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays at 7 p.m. on Town of Farragut TV and are available on demand on the Town's YouTube channel

In addition, the Town of Farragut keeps the community informed of general information, meetings, special events and programs via its numerous social media channels:
The Town also provides information about special events and the Farragut Folklife Museum to national, state and local tourism / events calendars and publications.

The Athletic Field Infoline - (865) 966-2420 - is updated during the week at 3 p.m. and at 8 a.m. on weekends from March to November with natural turf playing field conditions and is also updated year-round with synthetic turf field playing conditions and the status of special events. The Softball League Infoline (777-2732) and Softball Twitter account and Volleyball League Infoline (777-2869) and Volleyball Twitter account are updated on weekdays by 3 p.m. from March to November with league schedules. The Parks and Recreation Department also maintains information about local homeowners groups, civic organizations and public utilities important to Farragut residents. Scout troops, schools, and community organizations can also arrange government lectures and tours of the Farragut Museum through the Parks and Recreation Department.


Approximately 8,000 copies of the Farragut Annual Report are distributed to every Farragut residence in February of each year. This publication is also distributed by the Farragut / West Knox Chamber of Commerce, local realty agencies and other businesses to prospective residents and businesses. A quarterly newsletter, Talk of the Town, is distributed to over 95% of Farragut homes through the farragutpress. A monthly e-newsletter, "At Your Leisure," is sent to Farragut homeowners associations, volunteers and citizens (call 966-7057 or email to add email address or click here to sign up online) and other specialty e-newsletters are sent to targeted groups associated with the Town.
