All fall classes, workshops and events will be held at Farragut Town Hall, 11408 Municipal Center Drive. Register at townoffarragut.org/register, in person at Town Hall or by phone (218-3375). Payment is due at the time of registration. All credit card payments will incur a transaction fee. Cash and check payments are also accepted when registering in person. No refunds are given. The Town of Farragut is not responsible for costs associated with the purchase of supplies when a class is canceled.
AARP Smart Driving Program
Friday, March. 29, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Cost: $15 for AARP members; $20 for non-AARP members. Bring a check to the class. Registration deadline: Monday, March. 25. Participants must bring their AARP membership card or membership number to the class to receive the $5 discount. Membership numbers can be obtained by calling 1-888-687-2277. Participants must be 55 years of age or older and complete eight hours of class time to be eligible for a discount (up to 10%) on their auto insurance. The program, which is taught by trained AARP volunteers, covers such topics as age-related physical changes and declining perceptual skills, and serves as a refresher course for the rules of the road, local driving problems and license renewal requirements. Participants should bring a lunch.
