  1. Postponed - "Farragut at Forty: Celebrating 40 Years of History" Exhibit

    A new Farragut Museum exhibit will open to the public on Thursday, April 2. “Farragut at Forty: Celebrating 40 Years of History” will include photos, newspaper articles and artifacts that tell the story of the Town through the years. The Farragut Museum, located at Farragut Town Hall, is open 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and admission is always free. Keith McDaniel, who produced the video “A History of Concord and Farragut” in 2018, has been commissioned by the Town of Farragut to create a new video chronicling the founding of the Town. The video will be available for purchase at the museum when the new exhibit opens. The video will premiere during a special invitation-only event that includes a sneak peek at the new exhibit on Wednesday, April 1. Want to be invited?   2. Fall and Injury Prevention

    Instructor: Debi Tuggle of UT Medical Center. Registration deadline: Wednesday, August 19. This free program is designed to help adults of all ages who have sustained a fall in the past, who have concerns about falling, or who want to prevent a fall in the future. Learn to recognize your concerns about falling and hazards in your home and community that contribute to falls. Discuss topics such as home safety, safety in the community, talking with your physician, nutrition, the significance of exercise, vision and medications. This class is not age-restricted: anyone who has concerns about falling or concerns about a friend or family member falling is welcome!
