The Farragut Museum reopens Tuesday, Aug. 11, with a new exhibit, “Farragut at Forty: Celebrating 40 Years of History.” Photos, newspaper articles and artifacts detail the story of the Town through the years, from the challenge of incorporation through the process of creating a new municipal government. Instructor: Debi Tuggle of UT Medical Center. Registration deadline: Wednesday, August 19. This free program is designed to help adults of all ages who have sustained a fall in the past, who have concerns about falling, or who want to prevent a fall in the future. Learn to recognize your concerns about falling and hazards in your home and community that contribute to falls. Discuss topics such as home safety, safety in the community, talking with your physician, nutrition, the significance of exercise, vision and medications. This class is not age-restricted: anyone who has concerns about falling or concerns about a friend or family member falling is welcome!
