Taoist Tai Chi® arts are a powerful system for cultivation of body, mind and spirit to help practitioners return to a natural way of living. The practice contributes to better balance and posture, increased strength and flexibility, improved circulation, calmness and peace of mind. While learning about her Native American roots, Hembree developed an interest in the history of the Indians east of the Mississippi River. The lecture begins in 1607 with the first permanent English colony in America and ends with the "Trails of Tears." The Museum opens at 1 PM so visitors can see "Roots of Wisdom: Native Knowledge. Shared Science." Light refreshments will be provided.
