The Town of Farragut and the Arts & Beautification Committee is seeking local authors of children’s books to participate in the 12th annual Farragut Book Fest for Children from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, at Founders Park at Campbell Station.
Book Fest offers an array of activities throughout the day, from storytelling to book signings to music to art activities. As a literary festival, reading and learning are the primary objectives of this free, family-friendly event. Children have the opportunity for one-on-one interaction with participating authors, discovering their books and characters while offering the authors the chance to promote and sell their books.
For a $10 fee, authors will be provided a 10 x 10 space at the event; authors will supply their own books, tables, chairs, decorations and signage. Authors can register and pay at townoffarragut.org/register by clicking the Programs tab (a nominal $0.06 convenience fee will be assessed) and at Farragut Town Hall (11408 Municipal Center Drive – second floor, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday) beginning Wednesday, Jan. 2, through Friday, March 22.
