Resurfacing to cause traffic delays and walk trail closure

The Town of Farragut will begin its 2018 street resurfacing program on Tuesday, Sept. 4, with Parkside Drive from Campbell Station Road to the Town limit (at Belk Men’s and Home Store). Work will be done from 8:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, and the project will take two to three weeks, depending on weather. Parkside Drive will remain open but will have temporary lane closures, uneven asphalt and changes in elevation between lanes. Access to all businesses will remain open during this project.

The walk trail at Anchor Park will close Aug. 24 to prepare the trail for resurfacing and will remain closed until reconstruction is complete. The trail should reopen before Sept. 28, depending on weather. The park will remain open except for two days when the asphalt top coat is applied to the trail. The date for this closure is not yet set but will occur on or after Sept. 10. Check the Town’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updated information.

Resurfacing on Evans Road, from just west of the Farm at Willow Creek entrance to McFee Road, will take place on or after Sept. 10. While the road will remain open, there will be temporary lane closures during this project. Udate: Because milling on Parkside Drive was completed ahead of schedule, that project will be completed before resurfacing begins on Evans Road. The Evans Road project will begin the week of Monday, Sept. 17, depending on weather.
