FARRAGUT, TN – Brittany Spencer, a former program coordinator for the City of Clinton, has joined Farragut’s Parks and Leisure Services department as special event and program coordinator.
A Michigan native, Spencer came to East Tennessee in 2011 to complete a master’s degree in recreation and sports management at the University of Tennessee. After graduation, she worked with the Legacy Parks Foundation and served as a teaching assistant at Mead Montessori School before her employment with the City of Clinton.
She received her undergraduate degree in health fitness from Central Michigan University. But her love for the people and weather of East Tennessee has turned her into a Southerner, she says. She is recently married to Daniel Boutte, a local landscape architect.
She loves the field of parks and recreation and is excited for the chance to serve the Farragut community.
“Parks and rec strives to provide opportunities for everyone, regardless of who you are and what you can do.”
Incorporated in 1980, the Town of Farragut has top schools, safe neighborhoods and high development standards, making it one of the best places to live in the Southeast.
