Want to exercise your acting chops while teaching about Farragut’s history? Audition for the Pleasant Forest Cemetery Living History event!
Auditions for actors are at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1, and at 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 5, at Farragut Town Hall. Ten actors will be chosen to portray historical characters in 10-minute monologues on Sunday afternoon, June 10, at the cemetery. These memorable individuals, who are all buried in the cemetery, will tell stories from the history of East Tennessee and the Concord and Farragut communities.
Actors should be prepared to perform a two-minute monologue from a classical piece of literature. Roles can be found on the Town of Farragut website (townoffarragut.org) under Arts & Culture. This is a joint project of the Farragut Arts Council and the Farragut Museum.
