Cox is New Vice President of TRPA

Town of Farragut Special Event and Program Coordinator Lauren Cox was elected vice president of the Tennessee Recreation and Parks Association (TRPA) at the organization’s annual meeting in October.

TRPA advocates for parks and recreation funding at federal, state and local levels and provides continuing educations for parks and recreation staff across the state. The non-profit professional society has over 1,400 members.

Cox has been employed by the Town for six years and a member of TRPA for 11 years. She has served on several TRPA committees and also as East District Chair.

She ran for Vice President in an effort to promote involvement in the organization.

“I want to help advocate for parks and recreation on the state level,” she says.
