Fitness Classes Offered at Town Hall in October

The Town of Farragut is offering Tai Chi and Zumba fitness classes in October at Farragut Town Hall.

Beginning and Continuing Taoist Tai Chi

What: Taoist Tai Chi® arts are a powerful system for cultivation of body, mind and spirit to help practitioners return to a natural way of living. The practice contributes to better balance and posture, increased strength and flexibility, improved circulation, calmness and peace of mind. This class is for beginners and continuing participants.

When: 10:00-11:30 a.m. Saturdays, Oct. 7 - Dec. 30; and 9:00-10:30 a.m. Sundays, Oct. 1 - Dec. 31

What: Zumba is a cardio-based workout designed to tone the entire body. The routines feature interval sessions where fast and slow rhythms are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor into the mix and you’ve got Zumba!

When: 6:30-7:30 p.m. Mondays, Oct. 16 - Nov. 20. Taught by Karen McKinney.

Cost: $30

Registration and payment deadline: Friday, Oct. 13. Register at, in person at Town Hall or by phone (218-3375). Payment is due at the time of registration. Credit card payments – whether online, in person or by phone – will incur a nominal fee. Cash and check payments are also accepted.

Sponsored by the Town of Farragut, these classes will be held in the Community Room of Farragut Town Hall, 11408 Municipal Center Drive.
