Even though Freaky Friday has a different setup this year, the Farragut Parks & Recreation Department is still accepting donations for the local Ronald McDonald House in conjunction with the event.
In addition to donating during the event, which is 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, participants can drop off items at the Farragut Community Center throughout the month of October. The community center is open 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday and Thursday and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
Suggested donations include paper towels, Lysol spray, individually wrapped snack items, to-go boxes, heavy-duty paper plates, heavy-duty plastic cutlery, gift cards for gas stations, discount stores, grocery stores and home improvement stores, postage stamps, copy paper, Keurig coffee pods, coffee creamer, detergent, cans of air freshener, garbage bags (especially tall kitchen size), hand soap with a pump and hand sanitizer. Cash donations will also be accepted. For a complete list of donations, visit the Farragut Parks & Rec Facebook event page for Freaky Friday.
