Town seeks volunteers for community center

The Town of Farragut is seeking volunteers to work the front desk at the Farragut Community Center. Since April is National Volunteer Month, spring is the perfect time to get involved in your community!

Volunteers are needed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday in the recreation office. They will answer the phone, provide basic information, take messages for staff, check in community center participants and take fees. Staff members will always be in attendance – volunteers won’t be working alone.

New volunteers are enrolled in Farragut’s Unsung Navy (FUN) program. FUN volunteers accumulate hours toward a “rank” and are rewarded for their efforts at special events throughout the year.

To volunteer at the community center, contact Special Event and Program Coordinator Brittany Spencer at bspecner@townoffarragut.org or 865-966-7057. For more information about volunteering for the Town of Farragut, visit farragutparksandrec.org/volunteer-opportunities.

Incorporated in 1980, the Town of Farragut has top schools, safe neighborhoods and high development standards, making it one of the best places to live in the Southeast.
