Stop the Bleed training and certification is 1-2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, in the large classroom at the Farragut Community Center (239 Jamestown Blvd.). This class is part of the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma’s effort to save lives by teaching the civilian population to provide vital initial response to stop uncontrolled bleeding in emergency situations.
The class and certification are free; however, registration is required. Register by Monday, Feb. 24, at townoffarragut.org/register, in person at the community center or by phone at 865-218-3375.
