Farragut Town Recorder/Treasurer Allison Myers was presented with the Tennessee Association of Municipal Clerks (TAMCAR) Clerk of the Year award on Wednesday, Sept. 18. It was presented during the organization's business meeting in Murfressboro.
Assistant to the Town Administrator Trevor Hobbs nominated Myers at the request of Mayor Ron Williams. Town Administrator David Smoak, Hobbs and Williams accompanied Myers to the meeting.
Myers has worked for the Town of Farragut since 2001. She joined TAMCAR in 2002. She has been instrumental in the Town receiving the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Award for Excellence in Financial Reporting for 27 consecutive years and has received the GFOA Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for four years in a row.
